The exterior of the home has been completely re-stuccoed,
and chunky foam pop-outs have been added around nearly all of the new white
vinyl replacement windows. The front yard is pink gravel, with a few small
self-seeding palm trees and an older, shrubby Texas Umbrella Tree at the
center. A new charcoal-grey-white paint scheme has been selected for the
exterior.

The front door is on the side of the home, accessed through
the two-car carport. A small entry hall leads to the south-facing living room,
which features slick polished 12” x 24” white porcelain tile giving an Palm
Springs-esque vibe to the home. At some point over the years a stone veneer was
added over the signature Krisel modernist fireplace, which has now been painted
charcoal. The original clerestory windows are still in place, and the four-pane
floor to ceiling window adjacent to the living room slider has been converted
to a waist-height window, cutting down on the amount of natural light entering
the home.

The kitchen has been completely gutted and renovated, with
glossy, modern, dark horizontally-grained cabinetry and new white composite counter
tops. The signature William Krisel floating kitchen island has been removed as
have the floating cabinetry that would have been above the cooktop and was replaced
with a large, square countertop and breakfast bar with a slide-in-range. Unfortunately
the back of the slide-in-range control center has not been addressed, leaving the
unfinished rear of the range exposed to the breakfast bar.

The adjacent family/dining room is open to the kitchen, and
includes the small laundry area. Like the living room, the hallmark Krisel
floor-to-ceiling windows have bene removed and replaced with waist-high replacements,
cutting down on the amount of natural light entering the space.

The master bedroom sits at the front of the house, and
includes a small dressing area and jack-and-jill bath shared with the entry
hall. The master bathroom has been completely updated with a large, step-in
shower which utilizes floor tiles for the surround. The original white 1963 American
Standard Pullman sink has been incorporated into the new cabinetry and counters
which match the kitchen.

Both secondary bedrooms have been updated in the same format
as the master, and both have also had their signature floor-to-ceiling windows
replaced with waist-high vinyl replacements which reduce natural light flow.
The bedrooms share a jack-and-jill bathroom, which has been updated in the same
style as the master, incorporating the original 1963 Pullman and utilizing large
floor tiles on the tub surround.

The backyard has been cleaned up but left untouched,
consisting of pink gravel, some small self-seeding palm trees and vintage patio
cover. A large storage room/workshop sits on north side of
the yard, and incorporates a one-car garage parking space.
Those with a keen eye will recognize that this is same floorplan
that we features in Park
7 in Westminster, CA yesterday, and will be the same floor plan that we
will be featuring in Tucson tomorrow. It’s a great, efficient plan, and those
who appreciate ultra-contemporary trends and don't mind finishing landscape and window treatments will appreciate this home.
